Booking Terms & Conditions
Please read my terms and conditions prior to bookings. By financially securing your booking with a deposit, you accept these binding terms of contract.
A breakdown of services, costs and a payment schedule will be sent with your booking confirmation. Securing your event date means the diary is closed, no further bookings will be taken at the same time, ensuring priority for your event and to protect your booking.
For all bookings, the deposit is non refundable and non transferable.
Although there will be multiple opportunities to gain alternative fee paid work on your chosen date, these will have been declined in favour of your secured booking. A non refundable deposit protects clients and Emma Gandolfo.
PAYMENT
Weddings
For Bridal bookings a £200.00 deposit fee must be paid within 5 days of the booking enquiry in order to secure your wedding date (allowing the sufficient time for funds to clear) This will cover your hair and/or makeup trial, trials cannot be booked separately.
The deposit fee also covers administrative duties and communications in connection to your booking.
After a successful trial, the event date must be secured within 5 days by making a 50% payment of the outstanding balance.
Trial bookings are available: Monday-Thursday, 10am-4pm (To be booked at least 60 days prior to the event date).
Please be aware that on the rare occasion, due to prior contractual engagements, it may be necessary to reschedule trial and tuition appointments. Every effort will be made to accommodate your needs and minimise any inconvenience caused.
The remaining 50% of the outstanding balance (including additional expenses) must be paid in full, at least two weeks prior to the wedding day. International events require travel confirmation, travel tickets and accommodation bookings to be made at least 6 months prior to the journey commencement.
Special Occasions
For Special Occasion bookings your special occasion date, tuition booking or group booking is only considered as secure after receipt of the 50% deposit. Payment must be made within 5 days of the enquiry.
The balance must be paid in cash on the day or as cleared funds via bank transfer, prior to the booking.
A special occasion service and wedding service differ greatly; please get in touch for information regarding your marital ceremony. The wedding discount package will be applied to your quotation.
If you book special occasion hair and make-up and it becomes apparent that it is a wedding occasion (within immediate wedding party) I reserve the right to request the appropriate fee or withdraw all services on the day without notice.
For out of sociable hours services (before 8am and after 8pm) there is a £20 charge. For out of sociable hours services before 6am there is a £100 charge
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
✦ Each client must comply with all terms and conditions stated and strictly adhere to payment and cancellation terms. It is the responsibility of the client to read the terms prior to financially securing their booking.
✦ Please ensure that a suitable set up table and chairs are provided to your artist with consideration to height, space and natural light.
✦ Emma Gandolfo has the right to refuse the makeup service to clients if any abusive or threatening behaviour (in any way) is felt during the booking. Any cancellation due to this reason will not enable any refunds and full payment from the client will still be outstanding.
✦Please provide advanced notice of any difficulties with parking or access. A surcharge may apply for non standard parking fees.
SKIN ALLERGIES/CONDITIONS
✦ The client shall inform Emma Gandolfo in writing, of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. Emma Gandolfo cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to the clients failure to inform them of any known condition.
✦ It is the clients responsibility to inform Emma Gandolfo in writing before the booked date if any sensitivities/ allergies or conditions that may affect any member of the booked party receiving hair and makeup application. Emma Gandolfo cannot be held liable for failure to inform prior to makeup application
✦ Emma Gandolfo can refuse the application of makeup if any contagious skin or eye conditions are present.
CLIENT CANCELLATION
✦ The deposit is non refundable in all circumstances other than cancellation by the makeup artist
✦ Any cancellation made within 24 hours of the booking FULL payment will still be required.
The following client cancellation terms only apply to bridal and group bookings (3 people or more)
Here are the following charges should the client wish to cancel their booking:
✦ Cancellation of booking within 4 weeks of the chosen date = 100% of the remaining balance must be paid to the booked hair and makeup artist
✦ The client is required to give a minimum 4 weeks notice to the makeup artist of any changes to the booking e.g (more or less in the number of people having the hair and/or makeup service for a booked party. If you have anyone in the booked party who changes their mind and decides not to have their hair and/or makeover within 4 weeks of the booked date the total price will not change. Please ensure that anyone booked in for a makeup party are 100% confirmed to avoid any disappointment.
HAIR & MAKEUP ARTIST CANCELLATION
✦ In a very rare circumstance and only in the serious cases of illness or immediate family emergencies will your makeup artist cancel their confirmed booking with you.
✦ In such circumstances all efforts will be made to find a replacement hair and makeup artist with details, products and photos of the makeup looks you desire.
✦ If no replacement is found all made payments will be refunded to you.
✦ Emma Gandolfo Hair and Makeup Artist reserves the right to release the booking date without financial recourse if the client has not adhered to the terms and conditions or has given reason to doubt the booking is valid and genuine in accordance with the services provided.
COVID-19 CANCELLATION
✦ If the government requirements state that all events cannot go ahead on the clients booked date the makeup artist will transfer the deposit to the clients new booked date. If the event is cancelled due to the government restrictions and the makeup artist is unable to provide their service they will issue a 50% refund of the deposit
✦ If the government is allowing events and the client still chooses to postpone their event to a later date:
-If the makeup artist is available on the new date the deposit will be transferred over
- If the makeup artist is unavailable on the new date the deposit is forfeited due to the clients choice in postponing
TIME DELAYS
✦ The makeup artist will not be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control
PHOTOGRAPHY
✦ To increase the hair and makeup artists portfolio your hair and makeup artist may wish to take photographs of the finished makeup looks. These photographs may be used on you hair and makeup artist’s social media pages and website. Unless a written request for refusal of photography usage is submitted.
